In "Sign of the City Awards" organized by Hürriyet for encouraging the best in the Turkish construction and real estate industry, Soyak Park Aparts, Soyak Siesta Oxygen and Soyak Elite Club projects, as well as the social responsibility project Soyak Smarts received 4 awards in total. Soyak was the company with highest number of awards received with 4 awards my making it to the finals with 7 projects in 7 categories.
101 projects have competed against each other in "Sign of the City Awards" organized by Hürriyet and held with the project partnership of Karma Holding for encouraging the best in the construction and real estate industry and contributing to the creation of projects with a high quality, environment friendly and sustainable vision. Awards for the second year of the contest were presented at a ceremony held at Hilton Istanbul Bomonti on November 4.
Sign of the City Awards has 21 categories for the real estate projects and has received more than 140 applications with 101 individual projects. By being different from the last year, "Best Shopping Mall" category is divided into two as local and regional, and "Best Architectural Design" category is divided into two as public and private. In addition to this, "Best Social Responsibility Project" and "Young Architect Encouragement" categories took place for the first time this year.
Applied in 7 categories, Soyak has received 4 awards after a 3-stage evaluation process. Soyak Park Aparts has received an award in "Best Housing Project", while Soyak Siesta Oxygen has received an award in "Best Green Building Project" category and Soyak Elite Club project in "Best Marketing Campaign" category. In addition to this, Soyak's social responsibility project Soyak Smart Stars has received an award in "Best Social Responsibility Project" category.
Within the scope of the contest, projects of the construction and real estate brands with a high quality, environment and sustainable vision are evaluated with a 3-stage evaluation process. Contest's strategic partner EY Turkey has examined whether the applications are full and complete and comply with the criteria through a technical evaluation on the first stage. In the second stage held from September 21 to October 9, the jury members has decided for 5 finalists for each category through an online screening process among the projects succeeded in the technical elimination. And in the final stage of the contest, the jury, consisted of experts and leading names of the industry chaired by Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Architecture Urban Design Research Center Manager Prof. Dr. Güzin Konuk.
