Soyak Energy took the first step for a 50 million dollars geothermal investment in Manisa.
Operating in the housing, energy, cement and foundry sectors, Soyak Holding is adding a new one to its investments in the energy field. Following the HEPP investments, Soyak Energy of Soyak Holding continues its investments for renewable energy resources with GEPP.
Soyak Energy has started its geothermal investments with an installed capacity of 10,5 MW at the field with an operating license located in Alaşehir, Manisa, and plans commissioning this investment in 2018. Production license for Mis 1 Geothermal Power Plant was received as of August 2016, basic design works are completed, and project funding is obtained.
Soyak Energy aims increasing its geothermal installed capacity on this field and reaching a total installed capacity of 60 MW in geothermal field with a total investment of 200 million dollars until the end of 2020.
Taking into account that the energy demand in Turkey increases almost three times more than the global average and will be two times higher than the current capacity within 10 years, each domestic investment is of great importance for the sector. Soyak Energy will continue to be one of the actors operating in the sector and investing to the sustainable future of the country during the next 10 years where it plans an energy investment of 100 billion dollars in Turkey.
